Pack up and picnic!

Picnics are all about getting outdoors and enjoying some precious time with friends and family, as well as sharing some great food.

But what are the picnic essentials all successful outings need?

• A sturdy bag to carry all your comestibles in.
• Something to keep your sarnies cool like a cool bag depending on the weather when you’re picnicking of course as a cool, crisp, frosty day might not require such precautions.
• Airtight containers that keep food locked in to prevent spillages.
• Pop in to see us to get all the bread you might need to make your rolls or sandwiches and also to pick up any buffet style baked items, like sausage rolls and pasties, and all your cakes.
• Something suitable and comfortable to sit on such as folding chairs, cushions and rugs. If the grass is damp, go for water resistant cushions and rubber backed rugs.
• Cutlery, plates and glasses/cups – you may wish to select lightweight, disposable options but these days it is always good to consider the environment and have items you can re-use.
• Pack antibacterial gel and napkins – cloth ones can be washed and re-used over and over.
• Once the picnic is over be sure you have a bin bag to be able to tidy up the area and so that you can dispose of your rubbish or take them home.

Planning a picnic and want to be sure to get all your baked goods from us? Get in touch to pre-order everything you need in advance and then come in and collect it on the day of your picnic or the day before. Please note we’re not open on Sundays and Mondays.
