We are open from Tuesday to Friday, 8.30am until 4pm and on Saturdays from 8am until 2pm. We’re closed all day on Sundays and Mondays. Our opening days and hours may vary for Bank Holidays, see below for full details.
We’re a community bakery based on St James’ Road, Shirley, Southampton and were set up by the charity Communicare in Southampton. We offer a wide selection of scrumptious bread and produce including mouth-watering handmade cakes and our own bake sourdough loaves.
We offer a range of high-quality sponge and fruit cakes and even use some gluten free, egg free and dairy free recipes too. If you have additional dietary requirements, do please speak to us and we will see if we are able to offer you something suitable.
How are we different? Well, while you enjoy your tasty purchase, whether that be our delicious bread or yummy cakes, you can feel super pleased with yourself, as the profit made from your purchase will go to Communicare in Southampton. A charity that enriches the quality of life of lonely and isolated people all across Southampton.
