Great ways to use leftover bread

Our bread is freshly made and, as we use traditional methods, without artificial enhancers, to create our bakes, you do need to store it, well and to use it fairly quickly.

However, if you do find you’ve some leftover bread and are looking for a dish to make so you don’t waste it, then there are lots of brilliant ways to give it new life.

For warmer days, how about making a traditional Tuscan Panzanella, where the bread is used with in a rustic salad and moistened with fresh roughly chopped tomato, sweet peppers, cucumber and onions.

In fact, if you’re making a salad, then you could make olive croutons, which can be eaten on their own or with tapenade and tossed in salads or as a garnish for soups.

You could also make a brilliant breakfast French Toast, with a creamy custard coating flavoured with cinnamon and vanilla, which is delicious with fresh fruit.

Or have about a batch of all-purpose toasted breadcrumbs that can enhance pasta dishes and more?

There are lots of options, so you don’t need to throw bread away when it’s dried up a bit.
