We launched our community bakery in November 2021, as a commercial venture to help raise funds for good neighbours’ charity, Communicare in Southampton.

Many people gave us donations through our crowdfunding appeal at the start. This was vital in allowing us to launch, but we now need a further cash injection to move to our next stage.

Your help

We now want to improve the shop’s appearance to attract more customers. Also, there are new tools we need that would improve efficiency and the range we can offer, so we need your help.

Get involved

We would now like to invite you to get involved and are offering discount cards in exchange for a donation to help us grow further:

• £100 for a two-year 15% discount card – VIP Hero Plus
• £50 for a one-year 10% discount card – VIP Hero

Fundraising for Communicare

We are a limited company and separate to Communicare but all profits from the items we sell go towards the charity and the work it does to help lonely and isolated people across Southampton.

It’s currently supporting more than 700 individuals/families through tasks including one-to-one befriending and transport for essential appointments and assistance with shopping. 

The services it provides are free to users, although beneficiaries are invited to donate, if they can, and its volunteers, known as Communiteers, are offered expenses.
