Yule love these tips!

Yule love these tips!

It’s OK to have your Christmas tree up from December 1, according to all the experts online, so we’ve popped together a handy guide on how to pick your tree and style it.

All you need now is some of our mince pies, or other tasty treats, to nibble on as you work away decorating your tree.

  • Big isn’t best! In rooms with low ceilings smaller trees are just as charming as big ones.
  • Bay windows and hallways are great places for well-dressed trees too.
  • Fresh or faux – keep your tree away from radiators and other sources of heating.
  • Mix and match your fairy lights – use white lights on the inner parts of the branches and then use coloured lights on the outer areas.
  • Drape any garlands or strings of decoration in the branches before anything else.
  • Next hang your favourite baubles, so they have pride of place. Followed by any dangly ones and then all other decorations.
  • Tuck small pressies and sweet treats into the branches. If you’ve not tried making them already, you could make our decorative and edible chocolate cookies to hang from the branches too.
